This premier ProRodeo event, scheduled for July 9-13, 2024, promises thrilling action and top-tier competition. With a whopping $1 million in prize money up for grabs, expect to witness the finest riders from the PRCA's U.S. and Canadian Circuits, as well as Mexican National Champions, showcasing their skills in the arena. Apart from enjoying the riveting performances, explore a variety of Western vendors, visit the exciting PROBR Fan Zone, and unwind at the Beer & Wine Corral. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the Rodeo's storied past, provide essential ticketing and parking details, and offer insights into what makes this event a surefire crowd-pleaser.

History

Since 1937, this legendary rodeo has captivated audiences. Colorado Springs is not only home to iconic institutions like the United States Air Force Academy, NORAD/USNORTHCOM, U.S. SPACECOM, Schriever Space Force Base, Peterson Space Force Base, and Fort Carson, but it also hosts the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, with proceeds benefiting service members and their families in the Pikes Peak Region. The Rodeo's enduring legacy in this area was further cemented three decades ago when the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association established their National Headquarters and Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs.

Rodeo Info

The lineup of events for the 2024 Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo includes bareback riding, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. With over 200 top-notch competitors, this year's event at the Norris Penrose Event Center promises heart-pounding excitement. Evening performances run from Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 7pm, while matinee shows take place at noon on Friday and Saturday. There's plenty to enjoy before the Rodeo kicks off, as the grounds open at 4pm for evening performances and at 10am for matinees.

Ticketing & Seating

Tickets are available now and are moving quickly! To guarantee your place at this unforgettable event, secure your tickets online directly from PikesPeakorBust.org. Avoid inflated prices from ticket resellers and steer clear of scams – stick to the official website for genuine tickets at the best prices. Before choosing your seats, consult the color-coded stadium diagram provided above. Box seats provide the closest view of the action and are typically in high demand. Grandstand seats also offer excellent views of the excitement. End zone seating, situated in front of the roping chutes, still offers a good vantage point. With performances selling out in 2023 and anticipated to do so again this year, we advise purchasing your tickets as soon as possible.

Parking

Introducing a new feature for this year: Premier Paid Parking, priced at $10 per spot, must be bought along with your tickets. Due to limited availability, this option is expected to fill up fast. General parking is also offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, there's convenient free offsite parking with a shuttle service to and from the Rodeo.

Outside The Arena

Before the Rodeo starts, explore vendor stalls with Western wear and souvenirs, indulge in treats from food vendors, and visit the PPOBR Fan Zone for family-friendly activities. Don't miss the Mutton Bustin' preliminaries, where kids aged 4-9 compete to stay on a sheep. Adults can relax at the Beer & Wine Corral. The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is more than an event—it's a full Western experience.

Experience the Wild West vibe at this year's NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo in Colorado Springs. Enjoy rodeo events and family activities, celebrating cowboy culture.
