Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are beneficial for body and soul, combining vigorous physical activity with beautiful and serene surroundings. In the summer, Rampart Reservoir Trail is a favorite of hikers thanks to its route around the shoreline. During winter, the scenery takes on an otherworldly aspect enjoyed by cross-country skiers and snowshoers. There is a $7 day-use fee for vehicles, but the trail itself is free of charge.
